The Mother’s Day Run & Walk Fort St. John is a community-driven event that raises funds for the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society and their second-stage housing program Skye’s Place, a haven for women and children escaping domestic violence. Participants can choose between a 2.5K, 5K run in Fort St. John, or a 10K race in British Columbia to walk, jog, or run in support of this vital cause.
Since its inception in 2011, the Rotary Club of Fort St. John organized the run, with the Fort St. John Women's Resource Society as the beneficiary of its proceeds. In 2024, Rotary officially passed the event management to us, entrusting our organization with its continued success.
While Rotary is no longer organizing the run, the event remains the same cherished community tradition. We are honoured to carry it forward, ensuring it continues to bring people together, promote health and wellness, and support vital programs for women and children in our community. The event takes place on Mother’s Day 2025 at Surerus Park in Fort St. John, BC. The exact time and event schedule will be shared closer to race day.
